Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance Scholarship

The IUYA (Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance) Scholarship is funded by community members that support undocumented Hoosiers. The scholarship is only available to undocumented students, with or without Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or Temporary Protected Status (TPS), who reside in Indiana, demonstrate financial need, and are pursuing higher education. Four scholarships recipients will be awarded $4,500 in installments of $2,250 during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Goldstein Family Scholarship Program

The goal of the Goldstein Family Scholarship Program is to help female survivors of domestic violence improve their self-sufficiency and quality of life by completing higher education. The scholarship fund provides financial support for tuition, books, rent, utilities, and childcare. Support is provided based on the applicant's financial need after using all other available community resources. Scholarship recipients also receive case management services from YWCA's Empowerment Advocate to assist them through their academic journey. Financial support & case management services are provided to scholarship recipients for up to 4 years. Rolling deadlines for submission of applications and all supplemental materials will be January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st. Applicants will be reviewed and evaluated after each deadline.

Adams County Community Foundation

The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) awards around 400 scholarships annually to Adams County, Indiana residents of all ages for tuition, fees, books, and professional materials (as required / listed on the student’s syllabus). Traditional students (current high school students), OnTrack Students (students out of high school 1-5 years) and Nontraditional students (out of high school 5+ years) are encouraged to contact the ACCF to learn about scholarship opportunities. Community Foundation of DeKalb County

Community Foundation DeKalb County awards scholarships each year thanks to the generosity of donors who understand that education is important for a rewarding and successful life. Most Community Foundation scholarships support full-time undergraduate study toward a Bachelor’s degree for a current-year high school graduate. A limited number of scholarships are available for work toward an Associate or technical degree. The scholarship application is open from December 1st to January 31st.

Kosciusko County Community Foundation

The Kosciusko County Community Foundation has more than 100 scholarship funds, from which we annually award over $500,000 to area students. With the exception of a few scholarship funds, the vast majority of our scholarship funds require residency in Kosciusko County, Indiana, or attendance at a high school serving Kosciusko County in order to be eligible. Scholarships can be used for tuition, books and academic fees, but not for room and board. Scholarship payments made for room and board are taxable to the recipient according to the IRS. Non-traditional scholarships have an open deadline. The traditional scholarship application will open again in December. The LaGrange County Community Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to support both traditional students and adult learners pursuing higher education and career training. SCCF offers 60 scholarships for students pursuing further education and training each year. These scholarships are established often by families in memory of a loved one or by individuals who wish to support students entering a career path similar to theirs. Unless explicitly stated, scholarships are for residents of Steuben County, Indiana. Scholarships are available for both traditional students (graduating high school seniors) and non-traditional students (current college students and those who are returning to advanced education after a period of time). Students may be eligible to apply through SCCF’s general scholarship cycle, vocational scholarships, or the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. The Community Foundation of Grant County awards around 200 scholarships annually to Grant County students for tuition, fees, and books. All Grant County U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens pursuing higher education at an accredited university, college, or trade school, part-time or full-time, are eligible to apply for scholarships. Teach Dual Credit Indiana

Teach Dual Credit Indiana is a program to ensure that Indiana high school teachers are equipped and qualified to teach dual credit courses. Teach Dual Credit Indiana provides the funding for tuition and books for teachers who are seeking to fulfill dual credit credentialing in six content areas: communications/speech, economics, English, history, political science/government, and world languages.

Teachers who complete 18 graduate credits through Teach Dual Credit Indiana and who do not yet have a master’s degree may be eligible for funding to complete a master’s degree.

Indiana Special Education Assisted Licensure (I-SEAL)

Indiana Special Education Assisted Licensure (I-SEAL) is available to fund post-baccalaureate programs of study that will enable teachers to become fully licensed to teach special education for a public school in Indiana. The primary license focus is adding Exceptional Children: Mild Intervention certification to an existing license, while remaining employed with your existing school district and eligibility to be a Teacher of Record

There are three universities currently participating in I-SEAL and are providing the 18 credit hours of study to choose from. They all provide the appropriate, approved classes that are 100% online and support for taking the Praxis test at the end as well as support in getting through the licensing process. 

The cost of textbooks is provided in addition to the tuition costs – all paid directly to the university upon completion of each course. 

To be eligible, a teacher must:

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the USDE;

  2. Be currently employed in an Indiana school, have current licensure from the Indiana Department of Education, 

  3. Provide a letter of intent to remain employed in an Indiana school as a special education teacher for at least two years past completion of the program and full licensure.

*A priority teacher will hold any valid Indiana teaching license that allows for an additional special education license area to be added.

* A grade of no lower than a C+ needs to be maintained for continued funding.

*Substitute teachers are not eligible for funding.
