Questa AWS Speech-Language Pathology Scholars Program

In partnership with AWS Foundation, Questa is offering fully forgivable loans to individuals from Northeast Indiana pursuing a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Trine University or Purdue University Fort Wayne. Scholars are eligible to receive up to $10,000 per year. To earn 100% forgiveness, graduates must live in Northeast Indiana and work as a speech-language pathologist in Northeast Indiana public schools for 5 years upon graduation.

Community Foundation of Huntington County

Community Foundation of Huntington County scholarships are funds established by the generosity and forethought of Huntington County citizens. Each named scholarship fulfills a distinct purpose set out by the priorities and motivations of the original donor. Due to the unique nature of our donors, eligibility requirements and monetary amounts vary across all scholarships. Scholarship opportunities typically have deadline dates that correspond with the beginning of the school year or the start of new semesters, so be sure to check application dates regularly so you don’t miss an opportunity to receive scholarship funds.

Kosciusko County Community Foundation

The Kosciusko County Community Foundation has more than 100 scholarship funds, from which we annually award over $500,000 to area students. With the exception of a few scholarship funds, the vast majority of our scholarship funds require residency in Kosciusko County, Indiana, or attendance at a high school serving Kosciusko County in order to be eligible. Scholarships can be used for tuition, books and academic fees, but not for room and board. Scholarship payments made for room and board are taxable to the recipient according to the IRS. Non-traditional scholarships have an open deadline. The traditional scholarship application will open again in December. LaGrange County Community Foundation

The LaGrange County Community Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to support both traditional students and adult learners pursuing higher education and career training. Many of these scholarships are established in memory of loved ones or by individuals passionate about helping students follow their educational and career aspirations. The majority of their scholarships require residency in LaGrange County or graduation from a high school serving LaGrange County in order to be eligible. The Common Application unlocks consideration for 49 different scholarships for high school students (opens in January and closes in early March).

Steuben County Community Foundation

SCCF offers 60 scholarships for students pursuing further education and training each year. These scholarships are established often by families in memory of a loved one or by individuals who wish to support students entering a career path similar to theirs. Unless explicitly stated, scholarships are for residents of Steuben County, Indiana. Scholarships are available for both traditional students (graduating high school seniors) and non-traditional students (current college students and those who are returning to advanced education after a period of time). Students may be eligible to apply through SCCF’s general scholarship cycle, vocational scholarships, or the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. Indy Pride Educational Scholarship

Community Foundation of Grant County

The Community Foundation of Grant County awards around 200 scholarships annually to Grant County students for tuition, fees, and books. Thanks to generous donors, they have scholarships available to students of every age, income level, academic ability, and athletic aim. All Grant County U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens pursuing higher education at an accredited university, college, or trade school, part-time or full-time, are eligible to apply for scholarships. Their general scholarship application is open from November 1st to December 31st each year.

Teach Dual Credit Indiana

Teach Dual Credit Indiana is a program to ensure that Indiana high school teachers are equipped and qualified to teach dual credit courses. Teach Dual Credit Indiana provides the funding for tuition and books for teachers who are seeking to fulfill dual credit credentialing in six content areas: communications/speech, economics, English, history, political science/government, and world languages.

Teachers who complete 18 graduate credits through Teach Dual Credit Indiana and who do not yet have a master’s degree may be eligible for funding to complete a master’s degree.

Indiana Special Education Assisted Licensure (I-SEAL)

Indiana Special Education Assisted Licensure (I-SEAL) is available to fund post-baccalaureate programs of study that will enable teachers to become fully licensed to teach special education for a public school in Indiana. The primary license focus is adding Exceptional Children: Mild Intervention certification to an existing license, while remaining employed with your existing school district and eligibility to be a Teacher of Record

There are three universities currently participating in I-SEAL and are providing the 18 credit hours of study to choose from. They all provide the appropriate, approved classes that are 100% online and support for taking the Praxis test at the end as well as support in getting through the licensing process. 

The cost of textbooks is provided in addition to the tuition costs – all paid directly to the university upon completion of each course. 

To be eligible, a teacher must:

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the USDE;

  2. Be currently employed in an Indiana school, have current licensure from the Indiana Department of Education, 

  3. Provide a letter of intent to remain employed in an Indiana school as a special education teacher for at least two years past completion of the program and full licensure.

*A priority teacher will hold any valid Indiana teaching license that allows for an additional special education license area to be added.

* A grade of no lower than a C+ needs to be maintained for continued funding.

*Substitute teachers are not eligible for funding.

Transition to Teaching Scholarship

The Transition to Teaching Scholarship provides students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a one-time, non-renewable scholarship of up to $10,000. In exchange, students agree to teach for five years at an eligible Indiana school or repay the corresponding, prorated amount of the scholarship.

  • The $10,000 is for the Transition to Teaching Program and initial practitioner licensure costs (as defined in IC 21-12-16-8.5).
  • If the Transition to Teaching Program costs less than $10,000, the Transition to Teaching Scholarship will cover the cost of the Program, plus $37.50, which is the total cost for the initial practitioner licensure.
  • The Transition to Teaching Scholarship is a need-based award. You must be a member of a household with an annual income of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) or less to be considered eligible.

To qualify, a student must:

  • possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary four (4) year institution;
  • have enrolled in a Transition to Teaching program described in IC 20-28-4;
  • be employed or volunteer at a K-12 school in the state of Indiana;
  • agree in writing to:
    • complete a Transition to Teaching program described in IC 20-28-4 and obtain an initial practitioner license under IC 20-28; and
    • teach for at least five (5) years in a public school or an eligible school (as defined in IC 20-51-1-4.7) in Indiana after obtaining the initial practitioner license under IC 20-28-4-6;
  • be a member of a household with an annual income of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) or less; and
  • meet any other criteria established by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

Questa ACPL Scholars Program

The Questa ACPL Scholars Program supports current and future Allen County Public Library employees with funding for postsecondary education and encourages life-long learning. Students may receive up to $20,000 in loans that are 100% forgiven when they graduate from their academic program and work at the Allen County Public Library for three years after graduation.

Questa Bowen Health Tuition Assistance Program

The Questa Bowen Health Employee Tuition Assistance Program supports current administrative and clinical Bowen Health employees with funding for postsecondary education and encourages life-long learning. Employees may receive up to $15,000 in loans that are 100% forgiven when the employee graduates from their academic program and continues to work at Bowen Health for four years after graduation. The first $5,000 in loan funding is 100% forgiven when the employee graduates from their academic program. The additional $10,000 in loan funding is 100% forgiven when the employee graduates and continues successful employment at Bowen Health for four years.

Questa Bowen Health Scholars Program

The Bowen Health Scholars Program supports students in high-need talent fields with funding for their last two years of postsecondary education and connects them with career opportunities at Bowen Health after graduation. Scholars can receive up to $10,000 in forgivable loans over two years ($5,000 per academic year/$2,500 per semester). This is 100% forgivable when scholars graduate and work at Bowen Health for at least two years.

Applicants must be pursuing a certificate or degree in a high-need talent field including:

  • Physician Assistants, Certified Medical Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners | Eligible to work at any Bowen Health location upon graduation

  • Nursing and Dental Hygiene | Eligible to work at the Warsaw location only

Questa Parkview ABSN Scholars Program

Key dates & amount Up to $30,000 Open Year-Round

If you’re a current student entering the ABSN program offered in partnership with Indiana Tech and Huntington University, Questa and Parkview Health will fund your education up to $30,000 over the course of the ABSN program. Our loan is 100% forgivable when you graduate and commit to working at Parkview Health network for at least three years after graduation.

This award is open to every student who is admitted into the ABSN program offered through Indiana Tech and Huntington University. Students must apply through Questa in order to receive this funding.

Questa Stillwater Hospice Scholars Program

In partnership with Stillwater Hospice, Questa offers funding for employees seeking continued education. The program offers a forgivable low-interest loan to assist in the cost of tuition, fees, books and educational expenses. Current Stillwater Hospice employees interested in going back to school should contact their Human Resource department to apply.

Engineering Opportunities — Questa Education Foundation

In partnership with the Don Wood Foundation, Questa is offering forgivable loans to individuals pursuing a certificate, associate, or bachelor’s degree in engineering. Questa Scholar Programs support high school seniors, current college freshmen, returning students completing their education, and adult learners. Up to $5,000 is awarded annually, depending on the educational plan and enrolled credit hours.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Attending an accredited public or private nonprofit university in Indiana
  • Attending either part-time (6+ credit hours) or full-time (12+ credit hours)
  • Possess a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or a strong recommendation from an employer

High school seniors are encouraged to apply to the Traditional Scholars Program (application open January 15 - March 15).

College students and adult learners (new or returning to college) can apply through the Contemporary Scholars Program (application open year-round).
