This scholarship was established in recognition of Luke J. Scheer and his lifelong interest in historical events having impact on the heritage of Huntington County and his efforts to acquire and preserve relevant property. The purpose of the fund is to help further instill in others an appreciation of Huntington County history. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The Margaret W. Russell Scholarship fund was created in 1994 through a donation from Margaret W. Russell to financially support Huntington County youth attending Huntington University. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Huntington residents Doug and Tina Fisher established the scholarship in 2019 to honor their son Mark’s memory. Mark loved coaching youth baseball as Whitko High School’s head baseball coach, along with coaching various summer baseball leagues. The scholarship provides financial assistance to specific high school graduates with a solid motivation to complete further education via a certification or degree path and have a genuine love for baseball. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The Mary Edith Reiff Scholarship was established by Mary Edith Reiff through her will to help outstanding students seeking further education. It is awarded to students living in Huntington, Andrews and/or Dallas Township. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

This scholarship is sponsored by the Metro Kiwanis of Huntington in memory of Charles (Chuck) Wohlford. A beloved teacher, coach, and basketball statistician, Wohlford retired from Huntington North in 1993, becoming an active member of Metro Kiwanis until his death in 2000. The Metro Kiwanis received their charter in 1971. The motto of Kiwanis International is “Changing the world one child and one community at a time." This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Joy Conley established the Miami Tool & Die Scholarship in 2018 for the express purpose of assisting those Huntington County students interested in a career in the machine trades. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The Murray Scholarship Fund was established to assist applicants who are pursuing a career in a vocational, technical, or skilled trade; or who are pursuing a career in cybersecurity, information technology, or another technology-related career. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The Northwest Elementary School Scholarship was transferred to HCCF at the closing of the school in 2018. It will provide a scholarship based on the “Northwest Way” to a former Northwest student annually until the 2018 Kindergarten class becomes the Senior Class of 2030, at which time it will provide scholarships to any Huntington County youth graduating from Huntington North. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The Paul D. Souder Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating seniors pursuing a career in the field of aviation including aeronautics, air traffic management, aviation maintenance, aviation management, space operations, unmanned aircraft systems, etc. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Established by Marilou Wardrop and friends of Phil, the Philip Rich Memorial Scholarship is designed to assist a deserving Huntington North male senior athlete with college expenses. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The PNC Bank Scholarship (formerly First National Bank of Huntington Scholarship) was established to assist students in pursuit of an education at Huntington University. Applicants must be Huntington County residents, Huntington North graduating seniors with a “B” or better grade point average, attending full-time at Huntington University. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Pokey was born a clown in the mind of an 80-year-old retired teacher from the Huntington County School Corporation in 1993. Pokey spent her former life teaching, nurturing, and stimulating the imaginations of Huntington County students. Every student was encouraged to reach their maximum potential in education. It is that same spirit that has inspired the creation of this scholarship in her honor. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The scholarship was established in 2019 by the Roanoke Elementary School PTO and is awarded to Huntington County residents who are graduating seniors of Huntington North High School that attended Roanoke Elementary School for a minimum of three years. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Family and friends who participated in the first annual golf outing in remembrance of Rob Henn established the Rob Henn Athletic Scholarship in 2008. An annual golf outing continues to support this scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a student-athlete from Huntington North who displays “unquestionable character, a high regard for teammates, and due respect for opponents.” This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Established in 2014, the Rob Mayo Memorial Scholarship was created to preserve the memory of Rob Mayo, the beloved resident property manager of St. Felix Monastery. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The Robert and Jean Gernand Family Scholarship was established in 2021 by Jean Gernand and is awarded to a Huntington County resident pursuing a major in education entering their sophomore or junior year of post-secondary education. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The Robert E. Wilson Scholarship was established to financially assist applicants attending Huntington University on a full-time basis. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Nancy and Jim Breiner established the Scott Breiner Memorial Scholarship in memory of their son, Scott. The purpose of this scholarship is to support and encourage students who wish to pursue further education. It is awarded to a Huntington North or Northfield High School graduate who plans to pursue an education major, although other majors will be considered. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

In August of 1997, Richard and Connie Herr, in loving memory of their daughter, established the Sheri Herr Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship assists worthy students with roots in Wells County in their pursuit of a higher education. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Huntington residents Shirley and George Kilander established the scholarship in 2004 to provide financial assistance to graduating seniors attending Purdue University, West Lafayette, as full-time students. George graduated from Purdue with a degree in Engineering Technology. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.
