CICF Sociedad Amigos De Colombia De Indiana (SADCO) Scholarship

This scholarship was created by Indiana Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (INTESOL) in honor of Wendy Wildman Long for students who are historic or current English learners.

Who Can Apply: any current or former graduates from Indiana public high school

Other Criteria: Applicants must be historic or current English language learners. Applicants without immigration documentation are encouraged to apply. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.

Olive B. Cole Foundation Scholarships

Key dates & amount Up to $2,500 a year for up to 4 years Closing 2/1/26

The Olive B. Cole Foundation provides scholarships of up to $2,500 a year for up to 4 years.

Applicants must:

  • Reside in Noble County or attend for two years and graduate from Central Noble, East Noble, West Noble High School, Oak Farm Montessori, or Churubusco High School.

And be pursuing one of the following:

  • Bachelor degree requirements: Students must enroll in college on a full-time basis, with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. Students may receive up to four years (eight semesters) of aid for a total of $10,000
  • Teaching Degrees: Students who are already a Cole Scholar, in good standing, pursuing a teaching degree, will be awarded additional funding of up to $2,500 per year in the junior and in the senior years of study.
  • Associate degree requirements: Students must enroll on a full-time basis, with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. Students may receive up to two years of aid for a total of $5,000.

CICF Carol & Hugh Warnecke Teacher Scholarship

Other Criteria: Applicants must plan to pursue a B.S., B.A., or master’s degree in secondary education, demonstrate academic promise, meet the required grade point average for admission to the program and demonstrate financial need.

Preference is given to individuals making a career change into the teaching profession (i.e. college graduates pursuing a certification through an alternative licensure program).

SME Education Foundation Scholarships

The SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) Education Foundation supports the next generation of manufacturing and engineering talent by awarding scholarships to high school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students with degrees in manufacturing or engineering every year.

Minimum Criteria:

  • Must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States or Canada , or have
    a U.S. or Canadian student visa.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be pursuing associates, bachelors, or graduate degree in manufacturing,
    engineering, or related field.
  • Open to high school seniors or current college students.
  • Students can be part time or full time to be eligible.
  • Must be attending a University or Community College in the United States or Canada.

Awardees can use scholarship funds for tuition, books, or lab and course fees.

IU Cox Civic Scholarship

IU Cox Research Scholarship

The Cox Research Scholarship is a need-based scholarship program for Indiana residents of exemplary achievement and scholarly curiosity. The program pairs high-achieving, hard-working students according to their interests with an IU faculty member who is willing to take on an inexperienced first-year scholar to teach the skills and tools required to conduct meaningful scholarly inquiry or creative activity. All Cox Research Scholars are invited to join the Hutton Honors College.

To be eligible for a Cox Research Scholarship, you must:

  • Enter IU classified as an Indiana resident with a citizen status of U.S. Citizen or Naturalized Citizen.
  • Be pursuing your first baccalaureate degree.
  • Be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours upon arrival and throughout your academic career at IU Bloomington.

CICF Gerry & Sherry Fortner Education Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Gerry and Sherry Fortner, who met as grade school teachers in Carmel and Noblesville and later married. After retirement, the Fortners established this scholarship fund to support Hamilton County students planning to pursue a degree in education. Sherry passed away in 2008, but the Fortners’ passion for education lives on through this scholarship. Students at any public high school in Hamilton County, with a preference for Hamilton Heights, Noblesville, Sheridan and Westfield High School students.

CICF Gretchen Miller Bowker Scholarship
