Established in September 2010, this fund was created in memory of Dr. James P. Spink to honor his giving spirit. Dr. Spink, in 1970, founded the Northeastern Community Mental Health Center which serves DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble, and Steuben Counties. In 1979, he established a private practice at the Family Counseling Center with offices in Angola and Auburn. Dr. Spink used his unique talents to help thousands of people throughout his life, whether or not they could pay him. Virginia and Robert operated a successful retail grocery business in Auburn for many years. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of DeKalb County. Verlyn resided in Ashley and chose to create the scholarship, which will make educational awards annually as a lasting tribute to his generosity. Established in 2023 to honor the service and dedication of Master Trooper James R. Bailey. Trooper Bailey was a graduate of Garrett High School and became an Indiana State Trooper in 2007. During his tenure as a State Trooper, he received the Life Saving Award in 2010, Trooper of the Year for District 22 in 2012, and the combat "Action Award" in 2021. End of Watch 3/3/2023. The Tri Kappa – Academic scholarship is a one-time award to a graduating senior from DeKalb High School (DeKalb County, Indiana) pursuing any field of study. Applicant must have ranked in the top 10% of his/her graduating class during both junior and senior years. The Community Foundation Dekalb County hosts this application on their website and collects the applications on behalf of the Alpha Pi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa.

Applicant must have actively participated in school, community and volunteer activities. This scholarship was created by Mr. and Mrs. George Kurty in honor of Mr. Kurty’s parents to support college juniors, seniors, and graduate students pursuing a degree and career in engineering.

This scholarship is administered by the Central Indiana Community Foundation.

This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance in the form of grants for tuition, room and board, and related fees (e.g. books) to STEM seeking students who identify as a woman and meet the additional criteria. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and gender identify as a woman.

The PHP Scholarship Program is offered to high school seniors planning to pursue a degree in a health-related field. Physicians Health Plan's (PHP) goal is to provide today’s youth opportunities for continued success as tomorrow’s healthcare professionals. Scholarship winners will be awarded scholarship monies payable to the student and the accredited post-secondary college, university or technical school. Applicants must be either a PHP member or attend high school in the PHP service area.

The Andrews First Christian Church Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 2006 in memory of the Church’s closing in October 2005. Priority is given to descendants of members of the church at the time of its closing. The second criterion is students living in Dallas Township and/or north of the Salamonie River in Polk Township. Qualifying students may be enrolled in a 4-year college or university, junior college, vocational or trade school, or in graduate school. The Community Foundation of Huntington County administers this scholarship.

The Citizens Telephone Scholarship Fund was established in 2015 to provide financial support to Warren area (including Poneto, Liberty Center, and Bluffton) students pursuing post-secondary education. The Community Foundation of Huntington County administers this scholarship.

Applicants must be:

• Demonstrate financial need
• Have a 2.0 GPA

The Daugherty Family Fund was established in 2009 in honor of H.L. and Martha Daugherty to provide scholarships to employees, their children, or Warren area students pursuing further education in an agriculture-related course of study. The Daugherty Companies, founded in 1939, sold their manufacturing and distribution portion of the business in 2019 to Ag Express Electronics and the fund continues to support employees and children of Ag Express. The Community Foundation of Huntington County administers this scholarship.

Applicants must be employees (current or retired) of Ag Express, or a descendant of an employee of the Daugherty Companies, Inc.

Second preference is given to Warren, IN residents who major in agriculture. 

Sharon Solloway established this scholarship fund in 2007 in honor of her late husband and his dedication to being a lifelong learner. Distributions are utilized to benefit graduating high school students from Huntington County. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Ken and Dottie McCurley established this scholarship in memory of their son, Gary. The award is presented annually to a high school graduating senior or non-traditional student who exemplifies the high academic achievement and Christian values of Gary McCurley, a 1975 graduate of Huntington North. Applicants must be residents of Huntington County with a minimum grade point average or equivalent of 10.0 on an 11.0 scale or in the top 10% of their class. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The George & Garnet Bergman Scholarship was established in memory of this couple who called Warren home. Mr. Bergman continued his family’s tradition of operating the Bergman Funeral Home, which had been in the family for 100 years. The scholarship is for Huntington North, Southern Wells, or Eastbrook High Schools students. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

Donald and Angie Garner established this scholarship in memory of their son, Heith, an avid supporter of Huntington North athletics. Recipients are selected based on their record of volunteer activity during their teen years and demonstration of the character traits of enthusiasm and dedication. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.

The Huntington Firefighters Association created this scholarship fund to sustain their current scholarship forever. Sons of Huntington Firefighters Weston and Lucas passed away in separate car accidents in 2006. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Huntington County.
