The family of Diana Kay Smith established this scholarship in celebration of her life and as a living memorial. Diana was born in June 1954 and passed away in May 1969 of leukemia. The scholarship is available to a graduating senior of any Steuben County High School, with a preference being to a graduating senior from Fremont High School. Applicant must be pursuing a degree in nursing or health sciences and have a GPA between 2.5 and 3.5. The Steuben County Community Foundation administers this scholarship.
Applicant must be a Steuben County resident and graduating senior (preference to Fremont High School students/alumni), pursuing a 4-year bachelor's in health sciences (nursing preferred). Past recipients may reapply. Financial need and scholastic performance (GPA 2.5-3.5 preferred) are considered.
The Cleon and Pauline B. Throop Scholarship Fund was created to support a Steuben County resident pursuing a post-secondary education outside of Steuben County. The Steuben County Community Foundation administers this scholarship.
Applicant must be a Steuben County resident attending college/university outside the county, a graduating high school senior or nontraditional student returning to school, with a GPA of 2.5-3.5.
