The Commission offers teaching scholarships for students who are residents of an underserved county. Underserved counties include Allen County, Marion County, Lake County, St. Joseph County, and Vanderburgh County. If selected, students must agree in writing to apply for a teaching position at a school in an underserved county and, if hired, teach in an underserved county for at least three years.
Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 289-2025 modified the scholarship requirements for new recipients applying after June 30, 2025.
