The Indiana Health Care Foundation (IHCF) applauds individuals who are dedicated to advancing their career through continued education. IHCF is accepting scholarship applications from individuals pursuing educational training for LPN/RN (PN/Associate/Bachelor) degrees. Multiple scholarships are available ranging from $1,000 - $5,000 dependent upon merit, need, and demand.
ELIGIBILITY: To be considered for an Indiana Health Care Foundation (IHCF) Nursing Scholarship, the applicant must:
- Reside in the State of Indiana.
- Possess a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Be able to provide documentation showing current acceptance or enrollment in a LPN or RN (either ASN or BSN)
degree program accredited in the State of Indiana for the Fall of 2025 or Winter of 2026. - Have a GPA or 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Have a passion to work with the elderly or disabled populations.
- Return completed application with transcripts from the highest level of degree completed, two
recommendation forms, and an essay to IHCF by the deadline.
- Transcripts should be included to verify education indicated on the application. Unofficial transcripts are
accepted. - Essay should include, but not be limited to, your passion, experience, reason for wanting/needing the
scholarship, future career goals in relation to caring for the elderly or disabled populations, and why you
deserve to receive the scholarship. Special consideration will be given to those who have previous
experience in a long term care setting who wish to continue working within the long term care
professional upon completion of their degree. - Recommendation forms from professional contacts should include at least one from a current or former
direct supervisor or instructor.
- Agree to a virtual or personal interview with the IHCF Scholarship committee if requested.
- Individuals related to a member of the IHCF Board of Directors are ineligible.
