Description

The Cox Access Scholarship allows hard-working, nontraditional Indiana residents with financial need that are academically strong an opportunity to return to school to build on their academic experience and complete their degree.

To be eligible for the Cox Access Scholarship, you must:

  • Enter IU classified as an Indiana resident with a citizen status of U.S. Citizen or Naturalized Citizen, and cumulative gap of three years or more in your education.
  • Be pursuing your first baccalaureate degree.
  • Be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours upon arrival and throughout your academic career at IU Bloomington.
  • Be earning a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher (4.0 scale) at the application deadline. If you have attended an IU campus previously, that GPA will be considered. IU Bloomington's Fresh Start program can be utilized to potentially improve your campus GPA prior to applying.
  • Demonstrate financial need by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the federal government by April 15 for the upcoming academic year.
  • Be willing to complete a 10 to 12 hour work commitment each week during your entire enrollment at Indiana University.
  • As an incoming student, apply to Indiana University Bloomington by November 1 for Cox Scholarship consideration.
