Jean Paulus created the Corlyle K. Paulus Athletic Scholarship to honor her husband, a semi-professional athlete. C. K. Paulus was an active athlete all his life. He was a member of the Sweet Sixteen basketball team from Mentone High School in 1935, and also played on winning semi-pro basketball, baseball, and softball teams in Hammond, Indiana, and in the United States Army. He was on American Legion teams and many other sponsored teams. The scholarship is awarded to a Manchester High School senior excelling in athletics and planning to pursue a college degree in Physical Education or Physical Sciences and will be active in college level sports. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Wabash County.
