Description

This fund was established by Fay Thorn. Pete and Fay were longtime teachers in the Warsaw Community School system. Pete was the first athlete at Wabash College to win 16 letters in four sports. He was the founder and initial director of Baker Boys Club, and was named Warsaw's first Man of the Year in 1959.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:

  • Kosciusko County resident
  • Under 25 years old
  • Graduate of a high school in Kosciusko County
  • GPA: 3.7 or higher on 4-point scale (or its equivalent)
  • Demonstrates financial need

Reviewers will consider the following when selecting a recipient:

  • Demonstrated academic proficiency

Preference may be given to:

  • Those who have participated in the activities at Baker Youth Club

This scholarship is administered by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
