Description

This fund was established by many friends and family of Tracey Yeager, in her memory. Tracey passed away on May 31, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She served in the U.S. Navy as a helicopter pilot, earning the rank of lieutenant and was a wife and mother. The fund provides scholarships to young women, especially those pursuing careers considered non-traditional for women.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:

  • Female
  • Kosciusko County resident
  • Graduating high school senior

Reviewers will consider the following when selecting a recipient:

  • Demonstrated leadership and community involvement as evidenced by participation in extracurricular and community service activities

Preference may be given to:

  • Those who demonstrate leadership while attaining academic success
  • Those pursuing education considered non-traditional for females

Applicants must provide an additional essay explaining why their education or career path may be considered non-traditional for females.

This scholarship is administered by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
