Description

This fund was created in memory of Martee Mitchell Lollar, who served as a Special Needs Job Coach at Warsaw Community High School. This fund provides scholarships to students who demonstrate care for people who have special needs or other life challenges.

 Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:

  • Citizen or legal resident of the United States
  • Graduate of Warsaw Community High School, Lakeland Christian Academy, a homeschool program in the Warsaw school district, OR a GED program and currently residing in Warsaw school district

 Reviewers will consider the following when selecting a recipient:

  • Demonstrated value of service through involvement in their church, community, nonprofit service, or student organizations

Applicants must answer an additional essay question about how they demonstrated care for people who have special needs, have life challenges, or who are underserved in some way and how they demonstrated characteristics of the DARE program including a commitment to a drug and violence free lifestyle.

This scholarship is administered by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
