KCCF David F. Lichtenauer Memorial Scholarship

This fund was established by the Wawasee Property Owners' Association (WPOA) and the Lichtenauer family in memory of David Lichtenauer's years of contributions to the association as a director, president and editor of the WPOA newsletter. His visionary leadership and devotion to his beloved Lake Wawasee and the Syracuse Community resulted in the completion of many projects as well as the Syracuse/Wawasee Trail initiative. The fund provides college and university scholarships to graduates of Wawasee High School, based on community service and academic standing.

 Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:

• Graduating senior of Wawasee High School
• Top 10% of high school class

 Reviewers will consider the following when selecting a recipient:

• Strong academic achievement
• Involvement in community service

 This scholarship is administered by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
