The Cox Civic Scholarship places a strong emphasis on serving the community, and provides funding for hardworking Indiana residents who are incoming first-year students, are academically strong, have demonstrated financial need, and have a commitment to service
To be eligible for a Cox Civic Scholarship, you must:
- Enter IU classified as an Indiana resident with a citizen status of U.S. Citizen or Naturalized Citizen.
- Be pursuing your first baccalaureate degree.
- Be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours upon arrival and throughout your academic career at IU Bloomington.
- Have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher (4.0 scale) at the application deadline.
- Demonstrate financial need by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the federal government by February 1.
- Be willing to complete a 10 to 12 hour work commitment each week during your entire enrollment at Indiana University.
- As an incoming student, apply to Indiana University Bloomington by November 1 for Cox Scholarship consideration.
