This fund was transferred from the Auburn Foundation, Inc. to the Community Foundation in December 2002. This scholarship was created by the Hague’s daughter, Dr. Stella Hague, to honor her mother. Stella graduated from Indiana University in 1893 and worked as an associate professor of botany at the University of Illinois from 1915-1940 before returning to her family home in Auburn. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of DeKalb County. The application is open December 1st through January 31st.
