Description

Lauretta Abrahamer established the Mandel & Lauretta Abrahamer Scholarship in memory of her husband, Mandel. The scholarship provides assistance for students pursuing a degree in Nursing or a related health care field. The Steuben County Community Foundation administers this scholarship.

The student must be a graduate of a Steuben County high school and a resident of the county. They must be entering or currently in the School of Nursing. If there are no qualifying nursing students, endowment proceeds will assist students in health-related fields. Applicants should have at least a 3.0 GPA on a four-point grading system and demonstrate financial need. Past recipients with a GPA of 3.0 or higher may reapply.
